JOB SUMMARY:

Supports departmental and venue management teams by coordinating, executing, and leading various set, stage, and back of house maintenance and improvement projects for Entertainment Operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes maintenance, repair, improvement, installation, and strike projects as assigned by Entertainment Operations management utilizing knowledge and skills of electrical systems, carpentry, electronics, and minor construction. Leads team members during the completion of projects, as required.
  • Coordinates project planning, preparation, and execution while providing cost estimates, timelines, work plans, and resource needs. Oversees projects to completion by partnering with other departments or crafts as needed, including Third-party vendors.
  • Facilitates communication between work team, supervisor, and other management with progress updates, post-project quality assessments, and any necessary hands-on instruction or direction resulting from the project.
  • Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; reports non-compliance. Monitors and adheres to the care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property. Monitors and adheres to the compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage, and other UO policies.
  • Accountable for maintaining inventory of all props equipment and consumables to include a schedule of routine preventative maintenance.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
  • High school degree or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • 3-5 years' experience providing work direction preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience in carpentry and electrical work.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with vendors and contractors required.
  • Basic operating knowledge of at least one of the following disciplines required: live sound, lighting, or video.
  • Basic operating knowledge of all three disciplines preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with basic knowledge of MS, MSWord, MS Excel a plus.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Completion of Lead Foundations course and demonstration of proficiency in division-specific Lead accountabilities as defined by the Post Training Technical Assessment.
