POSITION SUMMARY:
Our new Technical Lead will support and modernize cloud applications for the ATF contract. This contract includes modernization of currently migrated mission critical applications and production support.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the technical lead for the modernization of a family of mission critical applications that are hosted in AWS GovCloud.
• Evaluate and influence technology and solution choices that provide long term benefit to the customer; communicate those benefits to customer leadership for buy-in and approval
• Advise the full stack technical team responsible for the development and testing of the newly modernized application suite
• Work closely with the project management team to establish achievable milestones; ensure deliverables are completed according to plan.
• Communicate directly with the customer and senior Leidos leadership to ensure clear status, timely updates, and key technical artifacts are delivered as defined throughout the course of the project.
• Participate in testing, and release of key functionality for large scale custom software projects to meet customer requirements
• Manage the relationship between the software development team and the program manager.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software developers, QA analysts, operations staff, supervisors, and clients
• Provide team leads with schedule recommendations, updates and risk management approaches to ensure development activities proceed as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelors' degree and 8 years of experience or a Master's with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of development methodologies, and best practices
• Able to provide technical guidance and leadership to the highly skilled development team
• Working knowledge of relational databases, database design data modeling and SQL
• Ability to research technically complex issues and provide a clear path to resolution
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies and processes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance (US Citizenship required)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification in relevant technologies or architecture frameworks
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, AJAX, XHTML, SOAP
• Design and development of web services experience
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure.

Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
