We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to support data center infrastructure basis of design release management program, develop process documentation, and design and implement content management solutions using tools such as GitLab or like. This includes gathering customer requirements, understanding the business needs, and designing solutions that meet them.

The ideal candidate shows serious obsession for customers. They have broad experience working on global, cross-functional content programs, and they have team leadership, program management, or project management experience. This person also has excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership in delivering business results while working in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. They have strong data analytics skills, and are comfortable working with Excel to identify trends and insights. Experience working within a team to deliver complex solutions is key.

Key job responsibilities

• \tManage/maintain/improve an authoring system/content management solution based on reStructuredText format that hosts data center specific design and product documentation

• \tDesign, implement, and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets.

• \tInterface with cross functional teams, gathering requirements and delivering complete data solutions.

• \tDevelop end to end scalable data infrastructure and data pipelines

• \tOwn the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.

• \tDevelop ETL pipeline that links various datasets that could serve the analysis objectives in the most efficient way

• \tAnalyze gaps and provide proper documentation related to the AWS platform products created, stepping back to understand the broader context.

• \tLearn and understand a broad range of Amazon's and AWS's data resources and know when, how, and which to use and which not to use.

• \tSupport efficient and effective authoring by making it possible to reuse content across different design types

• \tPrepare user guides, technical documents, FAQs, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information to our customers and operational teams

• \tDevelop, gather, and disseminate technical information among engineers, program managers, product managers, designers, and technical account managers

• \tSupport document change process and periodic release of design documentation

• \tImplement document template and standardization across entire data center infrastructure product line

• \tIndependently follow designs and standards to develop and deliver conceptual, how-to, and API reference docs for AWS products.

• \tReview all technical documentation being issued by the product and design teams, including but not limited to narratives, drawings, sheets, specifications, user manuals, troubleshooting guides etc.

• \tManage central repository for all technical documentation, access control etc.

• \tDevelop and manage graphical user interface overlaying content repository

• \tDeveloping and setting standards for engineering document control, and best practices. Drives process improvements across multiple organizations

• \tControlling the numbering, naming, filing and formatting of all documents issued

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• \tEngineering degree or 5+ years' experience with technical documentation

• \t5+ years' experience using content publishing tools to write, format, manage, and publish high-quality content

• \t5+ years' experience using HTML/CSS to maintain a documentation website, Wiki or Confluence pages

• \t5+ years' experience in integrating documentation workflows with organizational needs

• \t5+ years' experience using Git to publish documentation using the Docs-as-Code methodology

• \t3+ years' experience editing the document in LaTeX format

• \t3+ years' experience in using the Sphinx Document Generator

• \t3+ years' experience automating documentation processes using CI/CD Pipelines

• \t3+ years' experience publishing PDF, docx documentation from reStructuredText (or other markup languages) files

• \tExperience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets

• \tExperience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipeline.

• \tExperience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

• \tExperience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering

• \tExperience with SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• \tProven ability to learn new technologies quickly

• \tAbility to write scripts in Python or other scripting languages

• \tExperience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy

• \tFamiliarity with using and following a style guide
