Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to advance the state-of-the-art cloud-scale infrastructure at Meta. Meta's infrastructure is immense, both in its physical footprint and in the collection of products and services we support. We are in the midst of a fundamental transformation of this infrastructure - streamlining the developer experience while operating efficiently at rapidly increasing scale, and supporting the world's leading AI workloads. This is one of the largest software engineering infrastructure projects that Meta has ever undertaken - and as a Technical Program Manager supporting core infrastructure and capacity, you will be at the heart of driving this transformation. In close partnership with engineering, product and other cross-functional teams, you will identify technical problem statements, create technical roadmaps, scope programs aligning them with technical outcomes and business priorities, define milestones and success metrics, and drive them to completion by aligning and leading large cross-functional teams.

Technical Program Manager, Software Engineering Infrastructure Responsibilities


  • Build aligned program teams to efficiently deliver on shared goals, with an understanding of the technical designs and customer needs

  • Collaborate with engineering and business owners to define program requirements, identify priorities, establish scope and define the roadmap for deliverables

  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  • Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.

  • Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.

  • Influence product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.

  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.


Minimum Qualifications


  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.

  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.

  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.

  • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  • Organizational coordination experience and experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems and processes
