The Role

The Technical Project Manager sets milestones for each project and coordinates efforts between teams, both internal and external, in order to effectively and effectively deliver projects according to plan. The Technical PM will assist with technical proposals, engineering processes, and documentation control.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned projects related to our Lab and Field Engineering environments.
  • Serves as a project manager in assigned projects from inception to completion including, but not limited to the following: research, conceptualization, feasibility assessment, design, proposal, lab testing, implementation planning, procurement, documentation, and transition to the operational environment.
  • Interfaces with team members and vendors/suppliers to ensure, but not limited to the following: support, scheduling, milestone achievement, development processes and goals, assist in procurement of specialized equipment, equipment tracking, related services and agreements, purchase orders, and specific procedures support for implementation.
  • Collaboratively adapts existing and develop new project plans, processes, and communication standards for the engineering teams.
  • Manages the formulation and ongoing tracking of each assigned project.
  • Assists with the development of reports and presentations.
  • Proactively manage program material inventory, tools, and related material tracking database
  • Identify changes in project scope and associated risk, develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Inventory Control/Asset Management


What We Look For in a Candidate

  • PMP certification is a plus or certification within one year
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Development of Microsoft SharePoint
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with vendors/supplier is a plus
  • A high level of technical writing ability is required
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and 3-5 years of related experience


Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$74,070 - $98,760 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
