Description of Duties:

The Technical Project Manager for MDA Space Systems supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Manage all program management aspects to fully integrate the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture platform into the MDA Mission Defense System.
• Confidently oversee and lead project scope success, schedule, and financial commitments supporting contract goals in collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Proactively plan and schedule project deliverables using established earned value tool sets.
• Manage expectations, resolve issues and conflicts, and build mitigation plans.
• Support event management and critical asset processes.
• Author and deliver proposals, status reports, and executive level presentations.
• Successfully drive projects to completion while integrating matrixed resources.
• Have cognitive ownership of their project deliverables and partner with matrixed resources to deliver results according to customer expectations.
• Directly supervise a team to achieve the above goals.
• The work operates within a combination of scalable, flexible, virtualized infrastructure and physical hardware, providing data transport, storage, processing and cyber-services to support the MDA Space Systems' RTD&E and future missions.

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 8 years of general experience; Master's degree and 6 years of general experience.
• Must have 7 years of experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting and experience leading projects and programs within and outside space command and control programs, as well as projects and programs that involved external providers.
• Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership roles.
• Must have experience with Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM).
• Must have technical IT experience.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and MS Project scheduling software.
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Requirements:
• Have a PMP certification.
• Have an ITIL certification.
• Have experience managing high dollar-value projects ranging in complexity.
• Have experience managing geographically separated project teams.
• Have experience managing projects in traditional waterfall and/or agile methodologies.
• Have knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) Domain.
• Have experience with system engineering fundamentals.

This position is expected to pay $133,000 - $158,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
