The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cyber-security and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office for 3 days a week, as directed by their manager. We are seeking a Technical Security Project Manager to join our Global Security Organization. As part of the Security Tools Operation Team, you'll drive the end-to-end delivery of highly technical projects that enable crossfunctional security and privacy at TikTok.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical strategy and management for crossfunctional security projects. Projects will deliver operational security services. This could include projects related to both cloud, endpoint, data protection, content assurance, incident management, security metrics, or other traditional security disciplines
- Coordinate stakeholder workstreams across disciplines and regions
- Create and maintain project plans and roadmaps in accordance with organizational priorities; define delivery methodologies and drive project execution
- Present technical project goals, architecture diagrams, designs, and updates to wide variety of audiences including engineering teams, executives, legal, and privacy teams.
- Assemble teams with the right skills to excute delivery including subject matter experts, project sponsors, and operational resources
- Work closely with security, privacy, and engineering leaders to understand organizational priorities and to sequence and/or deonclift projects accordingly
- Manage various collaboration tools and reporting dashboards to ensure accurate and timely status updates on project execution

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience driving technical programs from scoping to delivery at scale
- Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
- Experience working for a company with a with a global footprint.
- Excellent team-working abilities, having empathy for others

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of management experience of varying seniority, team management experience is a plus
- 5+ years of technical security operations or security engineering experience, especially in at least one of the below areas: endpoint protection, network security, cloud security, identity and authentication, Secure SDLC etc.
