This position has the responsibility and authority to drive, create and edit work instructions and associated training materials for all CPP-Minneapolis employees. This individual will be primarily responsible for creating and revising technical work instructions for products manufactured at CPP-Minneapolis

- Work with various team members to gather information from production technicians, subject-matter experts and technical staff to develop, organize, and write procedures, training materials, and process documentation
- Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
- Write easy-to-understand training materials, work instructions and internal communication, as requested
- Plans, develops, writes, and edits detailed technical instructions for manufacturing personnel
- Produces PDF and HTML/web-based publications using a variety of tools
- Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for highly technical and less technical users
- Documents engineering processes and specifications
- Recommends formats responsive to technical and user requirements
- Produces products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards
- Partner with third-party vendors on various projects, as needed
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks and issues and devise mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Plan, schedule and track project milestones.
- Estimate resources and participant needs to deliver project on time and budget
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals and requirements
- Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
- Perform work at the Bloomington facility
- Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
- BS in Technical Writing or Engineering with Technical Writing experience
- 4 years of experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

- Adobe FrameMaker
