Position Summary

Provides safe efficient age specific dialysis to patients with supporting technical duties. Patient population consists of; highly acute patients, pediatric patients and intensive care unit patients.
Essential Functions
  • Patient documentation
  • Direct patient care/order review in the dialysis process
  • Assistance with water treatment, dialysis machine use and other patient care equipment
  • Patient support and education
  • Actively participates in the quality improvement process
  • Involved in learning and self-improvement

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Education
  • High School Equivalent / GED . Required
Work Experience
  • 1+ years of dialysis experience required. Required and
  • Dialysis Tech Intern (DTI) experience will be taken into consideration for the purpose of determining the one year requirement. Required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and dialysis machines). Required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Required
  • Basic math skills. Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Dialysis Technician (OCDT) Required
