Duties
- Serves as the Company's Chief of Operations responsible for daily operations, short and long-range communications planning, coordinating, directing, and reviewing a variety of work functions.
- Develops short and long-range plans required for efficient and effective utilization of personnel and equipment required to support 24hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week telecommunications services to customers.
- Provides operational and technical supervision for military and DA Civilian personnel, including serving as first-line supervisor.
- Acts as the central point of contact for all communications circuit/trunk/system or equipment degradations or outages.
- Responsible for 24 hour notification and reporting of problem situations to Battalion staff, the 21st Signal Brigade, and Defense Information System Agency (DISA).

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- This position is designated as "Mission Essential/ Mission Critical." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a newduty location, within the United States, in times of local/national or man-made emergency situations.
- Incumbent must be available on an on-call basis to provide immediate assistance in the event of an on-line system failure or otherdemands as required.
