Make a Difference

The Telephone Operator is responsible for answering internal and external incoming calls and requests. As a Telephone Operator you will be responsible for call transferring, providing patient information, scheduling patient interpreting, solving issues with urgent patient care codes, alphanumeric and overhead paging, and after-hour call one support. The Telephone Operator role is often the voice of Community Health Network, calls are to be handled professionally, efficiently, and promptly.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to answer a multi-line telephone console, issue overhead & text/numeric paging, input patient information, route calls, and use a computer.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Switchboard, computer, web applications, text & numeric paging applications

• One or more year experience in office/clerical work is preferred

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred

• Great customer service skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good communication skills

• Must be comfortable with a high level of accountability

• Good listening skills

• Must have a pleasant telephone voice
