The In-N-Out Burger Community Engagement team has an excellent opportunity for temporary Community Engagement Project Specialist based at our Irvine, CA* office.

This is a temporary 6-month assignment where you will play a key role in supporting our department's ongoing projects and initiatives. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of critical tasks and timely completion of projects.

This position will report to the Community Engagement Department Head and will be a team member of the Community Engagement Department, which includes the In-N-Out Burger Foundation, Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, Fundraising and Community Impact teams.

*This position is full-time, in-office only

General Responsibilities

• Lead the review and approval process for all final copy across the department, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with our brand and messaging standards.
• Manage the approval process for social media content.
• Oversee and manage a variety of ongoing projects, ensuring they progress according to plan and meet deadlines.
• Assist the Community Engagement Systems Administrator with the replacement of Blackbaud software, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition while minimizing disruption to ongoing processes.
• Partner with the Marketing department to ensure projects are delivered on time and align with broader marketing strategies. Maintain strong working relationships to foster effective communication and collaboration.
• Work closely with the IT department on ongoing software replacement initiatives, coordinating efforts to ensure system upgrades and transitions are completed smoothly.
• Collaborate with all Community Engagement teams to support and execute new projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion. This could include Foundation campaigns, graphic submissions, and special Burger TV projects.

Work Schedule

• Temporary assignment, 6 months | Anticipated work dates: October 2024- April 2025*
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Hourly Rate: $33.00 - $39.00
• The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
• Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
• Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends
• Travel time: It is anticipated that 10% of the work time will be spent on site at fundraising and Community Engagement events; out of state travel may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
• Certificate in Project Management (preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in project management (required)
• Advanced knowledge of non-profit systems, volunteer management systems, and related processes
• High degree of competency working with CRMs (Salesforce preferred) and project management tools (Asana required)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to community service and a strong desire to uphold its ideals
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

ABOUT the Community Engagement Department

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation was established in 1995 with the goal of raising funds to assist abused and neglected children in the communities where we live and do business.

In 2016, the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was established to educate and assist in solutions to eliminate human trafficking as well as focus on those needing treatment, rehabilitation and prevention from drug/alcohol abuse. Our Fundraising Team supports both foundations with small and large scaled fundraising efforts as well as collaborating with Community Impact on volunteer opportunities for our In-N-Out Burger Associates and their families.
