GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The research assistant will work with the PI and his team to perform experiments on signaling pathways relevant to mTORC1 activation and regulation, and computational analysis of cancer exome sequence data, tumor RNA-Seq data, CUT&RUN epigenetic data. The research assistant will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and current records of all analyses performed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for performing experiments under the supervision of senior laboratory personnel.

2. Analyze data using advance computational methods.

3. Attends and participates in lab meetings, seminars and conferences.

4. All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical expertise in immunoblotting and in data and image analysis.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  2. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  3. Careful attention to detail
  4. Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures.
  5. Self-directed learning and ability to work independently
  6. Basic computer skills including Unix command line, python, and R.
