Job Description

This temporary, non benefit eligible position will be reponsible for:
  • Designing, setting up and carrying out experiments together with the PI, Dr. A. Smith. This currently includes responsibility for cell culture in the School shared facilities- routine passaging and set up for specific series of experiments using aseptic techniques. Additional biochemical techniques include protein purification, Western blotting, RNAi, immunocytochemistry and biochemistry for our research program.
  • Data collection and organization; data storage and appropriate data analyses including straightforward statistical analysis from the various types of experiments.
  • Data presentation for posters and manuscripts
  • Routine lab work includes: preparation of solutions, cleaning of glass ware, preparation of waste sample for disposal
  • Ordering of supplies, reagents etc. as needed for the research.

Salary is commensurate based on education and qualification
