Are you ready for a new and exciting leadership opportunity with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Atlanta, GA location is looking for a new National Manager, Aerospace Operations to join our Air Logistics team.

Your Role

Reporting to the Regional Air Logistics Aerospace Manager you will be responsible for the leadership and execution of AOG and Engine operations within the United States. This is a full scope function which will encompass domestic, export, and import shipments, the teams managing these shipments, and the processes by which they are executed and billed. They should be a subject matter expert on these products, as well as general freight forwarding operations. This role will support the North America Director Air Logistics - Aerospace

Your Responsibilities

  • You will have regional ownership of the Kuehne+Nagel Engine Logistics and AOG product in North America.
  • You will be accountable for accurate billing and P&L management for all shipments executed by the AOG and Engines teams.
  • Ensure compliance to Air 2.0 and Engines/AOG specific processes.
  • You will manage a team of specialists who are responsible for arranging engine transportation and AOGs within the United States and for import to or export from the United States
  • Facilitate operational root cause analysis as a result of service level escalation.
  • Act as the operational owner for new Engine or AOG business implementation and coordination with responsible stations
  • Act as a national point of escalation for internal and external customers on operational issues.


Your Skills and Experiences

  • You will have 7 years experience in Airfreight
  • Strong experience of Systems (QTAir/Airsport/SQT/ACON etc.) an advantage
  • Knowledge of US geography and airports along with basic knowledge of U.S. Regulatory Laws.
  • Excellent team building skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
