• Responsible for executing both manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment component functional and performance requirements.
• Configure benches to support specific test scenarios.
• Characterize and document defects including identifying steps to reproduce, linking failures to requirements, and collecting all associated test logs.
• Develop and Update test cases as required.
• Interact with multiple engineering fields (Systems Engineering, Software Development, Validation, Suppliers) to support defect resolution.
• Plan and manage execution of weekly verification testing
• Manage weekly build promotion including Sanity test planning, critical issue escalation and develop response to additional test requests.
• Coordinate test assignments for a large multi-functional team to ensure that all test requirements are met.
• Lead, collaborate, and improve testing on Infotainment ECU
• Verify operation of Infotainment features that function on CAN, Ethernet and LIN communication protocols
• Provide regular status updates and complete documentation and test results
• Perform Diagnostics, Partial Network and DPS Calibration testing

• Team relies heavily on them to give a thumbs up or down after testing the builds

2. What does a typical day entail?
• This position is used for sanity testing
• Test the builds
• Look for regression in the quality
• Debug every feature
• What the new implemented features are
• Need to be broad in their knowledge

3. What are the (must have) skills you are looking for in candidates and years of experience for each? (If Manager is hesitant, suggest the top 3-5 skills)
• Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in the Infotainment domain
• Understanding of Infotainment Operating Systems such as Android and QNX
• Experience with LAN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools

5. Degrees or certifications required? Is equivalent experience acceptable?
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related
• Mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Automotive SW Test or Development, including experience with test automation and test or software architecture
• Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred)
• Master's degree preferred (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Typical: 5 years in the business environment
