John Zink Hamworthy Combustion is looking for a Test Technician to join the team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating combustion equipment, including process burners, thermal oxidizers, and flares. This position involves working closely with Process and R&D engineers, conducting inspections, performing facility maintenance, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, thrive outdoors in all elements, and possess mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.

Shift : Monday - Thursday (6:30am - 5:00pm)

What You Will Do
  • 100% involvement the safety programs.
  • Daily setup and tear down of projects.
  • Testing of combustion equipment such as process burners, thermal oxidizers and flares.
  • Work closely with Process and R&D engineers.
  • Daily use of computers and HMI systems.
  • QC products when they arrive at the test center.
  • Perform facility preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Work in group settings as well as be a self-starter and efficient worker


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work full time in all outdoor conditions, including adverse conditions, wearing full FR coveralls.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to become certified and work at heights up to 100' in aerial lifts.
  • Be able to complete a physical assessment and perform confined space entry work inside of test facility furnaces and related equipment.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in a Mechanical/Industrial or Materials related field
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Pipe fitting and related experience/knowledge
  • Working knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW
  • PLC & HMI knowledge.
  • Electrical or instrumentation skills
