Our Test Automation and Calibration Development group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Functional Calibration Development Engineer! This role involves planning, developing, and performing subsystem level tests in a state-of-the-art testing and development facility. Responsibilities include data analysis, calibration development, identifying opportunities for data reduction, and leading the migration of lab-based activities to mathematical models. Creativity, initiative, independent judgment, and effective cross-organizational teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Track and report on testing progress and issues
Develop and execute first-time capable tests for calibration and hardware development
Lead diagnosis and resolution of issues during setup and testing
Participate actively in Product Development Teams and collaborate with Technical Experts to enhance current tests and develop new ones
Apply and create post-processing tools to ensure data quality and track data usefulness for final calibration or reports
Develop and implement global standard work processes and procedures
Interact with facilities, TRBs, calibration teams, and others to improve process and test efficiency
Support math-based activities, migrating work from Road and Lab to Math-based models and data analysis
Train, mentor, and develop new engineers

Education and Training:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics is required.

Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive engineering with engine knowledge
Experience with AVL PUMA/IndiCom/CAMEO and ETAS INCA software
Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others, and ability to establish peer relationships

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Exposure to propulsion system calibration in test and vehicle environments
2-5 years of experience with engine testing, calibration, or hardware development
Experience with engine dyno setup and testing
Familiarity with government test cycles (e.g., FTP, US06, WLTP, RDE)
