A client in the Houston area is looking for a Drilling Test Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone with an expertise in the drilling domain with a knowledge of software user testing. This individual will be testing a proprietary drilling modeling application, testing the functionally of the application to assure the UI is built in conjunction to specifications set forth by the users, and working with development teams to correct any errors. Lastly, this person will need to have excellent communication to communicate with engineers in the field and team members offshore.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years of experience in a software testing environment

3+ years of directional drilling experience in the field (MWD Engineer)

Experience preforming manual user focused testing

Hands on experience with automated drilling applications/software

Experience with Embedded devices

Bachelor's Degree (Focus in Directional Drilling)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Worked under software development teams- more familiar with software side

Software standards
