Overview

Electric Boat is searching for Test Engineers to support the following:

• SSBN Strategic Weapon Support Systems (SWSS)
• SSGN Attack Weapon Support Systems (AWSS)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical test procedure execution and change management for SSP/NAVSEA sponsored Ship Alterations
• Extended Refit Periods (ERPs) and UK LOP(R)s

This position will also support the OHIO fleet in resolving issues associated with AWSS/ SWSS equipment including conduct of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and procedural execution issues.

Other responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with design, engineering and tech pubs to provide technical direction for the update and maintenance of SSBN/SSGN technical documentation (SMPs, SSMs, SWSSSMs, Tech manuals, WPs, CPs etc.)
• Support resolution of SWSS/AWSS Trouble Failure Reports (TFRs), Trouble Casualty Reports (TCRs), Liaison Action Requests (LARs), and TDENTs.

This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables. • Ability to interface with fleet personnel and government customer representatives

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 4-9 years of relevant SWS and/or AWS experience
• Current SECRET DoD Clearance or ability to obtain SECRET clearance
• Experience with submarine test programs and interface control
• Understanding of AWSS & SWSS equipment for OHIO fleet
• Demonstrated experience working effectively with multiple technical organizations, program offices and Navy personnel
• Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casciano/Gabriel).

Preferred:

• Relevant leadership experience
• Strong working knowledge of the SWS / AWS, associated support systems and equipment arrangements
