Test Manager : Finance, HR, and Operations Management Applications (Remote)

Onsite Location : Goodlettsville, TN

Qualifications
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of test manager experience at client-site
  • Proven experience in managing QA teams and projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Possess a strong background in Java programming and test automation frameworks like TestNG and Junit.
  • Familiarity with Finance, HR, and Operations Management applications and their specific testing requirements.
  • Proficiency in Java, Javascript, RestAssured, Selenium WebDriver, Maven
  • Experience in popular Database management software, e.g. SQL
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GIT).
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of Scrum methodologies and Agile practices.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)
  • Certification in SAFe Agile
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in finance, HR, and operations domains.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and operations.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Oversee the entire testing lifecycle, from requirements analysis to test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for Finance, HR, and Operations Management applications.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Automation and DevOps:
  • Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline using DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and continuous integration.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automated testing and deployment.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in quality engineering.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases.
  • Communicate test results, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.


Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 9/03/24

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100/- to $112,500/- depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans
