Job Duties

Position assists in providing quality educational programs that enable incarcerated adult to become responsible, productive, tax-paying member of their communities.

Position provides diagnostic and standardized educational testing services to incarcerated adults in a test center region of multiple facilities to determine/assess eligibility for educational programs, assist with educational program planning, and determine eligibility for academic credentials, e.g., the GED.

This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or related field related work experience in adult education assessments and evaluation which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities required. Certified to administer TABE, CRC, CASAS, and GED. Teacher's license or eligibility. Must have the experience in designing and facilitating trainings/workshops to staff and strong data analytic skills. Must have prior experience in facilitating trainings/workshops in a professional setting. Valid driver's license required. skills in the use of software applications for reporting, i.e., MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) Ability to administer, score and interpret results of educational tests. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Additional Considerations

Knowledge of general standardized testing procedures. Knowledge of and familiarity with an array of academic diagnostic tests, e.g., Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), Official Practice Test (OPT) of the GED®, General Education Development (GED) test, WorkKeys for the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC). Skills in the extensive use of IT applications for computer-based testing;
