Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Disability & Accessibility Support Services, the primary role of the Testing Coordinator and Accessibility Services Assistant is to manage and oversee the coordination of testing services for students with approved accommodations. This position ensures that the administration of exams complies with the university's policies and federal regulations about accessibility. Additionally, the role provides administrative support to the Disability and Accessibility Services office, providing equal access and support for students with disabilities.
The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with occasional evening or weekend shifts to meet department needs.

The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes here .

Responsibilities*
Testing Coordination
- Act as the lead coordinator for administering and proctoring examinations, ensuring that all aspects of the testing process are secure, confidential, and adherent to protocol.
- Engage directly with students and faculty to facilitate exam scheduling and implementation of accommodation plans, ensuring an organized and equitable testing environment.
- Oversee the maintenance of the testing calendar and manage the preparation and availability of accessible testing platforms, assistive technology, and required materials.
- Train and supervise student employees or assistants involved in the testing process.
- Administer tests as a reader or scribe when required and proctor remote exams as necessary.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on testing services to support continuous improvement and compliance with accessibility standards.
- Adhere to standards and best practices the National College Testing Association sets forth.
Administrative Support
- Provide general office support, including calendar management, correspondence, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Organize and preserve records and databases to enhance the department's operational efficiency while tracking the utilization and eligibility of program participants.
- Collaborate with university departments and external vendors to secure appropriate accommodations and support student initiatives.
- Promote disability support services through outreach efforts, facilitating a campus environment of inclusivity.
- Guide students to campus support services and resources that align with their needs.
- Fulfill the Campus Safety Authority (CSA) role as the Clery Act dictates.
- Execute additional duties as determined by the Assistant Director.
