The primary responsibility of the Used Car organization is to ensure a smooth ownership transfer process for customers trading in their vehicle to offset the purchase of a new/used Tesla throughout the US.
As a Title Specialist, you are directly responsible for working closely with customers to obtain or re-execute missing or defective documents and following up with internal and/or external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies preventing us from transacting the trade-in vehicle. The Title Specialist identifies the issue and creates a case to track progress of the resolution. You will think critically and explore all avenues to resolve issues quickly, leaving no stone unturned in your quest for success.
We are looking for a team member who shines in a customer facing, administrative role and comes to work each day with a positive attitude. You learn fast, take directions well, maintain a hyper-focused workflow, and are highly organized. Title Specialists are the very core of the team and keep the entire trade-in and used vehicle business turning.


Responsibilities
  • Analyze improperly executed documentation and specify required resolutions to quickly transfer ownership
  • Flag issues blocking title assignment via a case management tool
  • Communicate directly with customers to resolve missing paperwork issues
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve title issues
  • Organize and maintain a filing system
  • Quickly become an expert in the vehicle title transfer process in all states and understand solutions available to overcome blockers in the process
  • Record and mail out titles and documentation to appropriate stakeholder
  • Reassign titles varying in complexity from all US states and territories
  • Request checks as needed for title applications
  • Review, complete, and submit applications for titles as needed with state DMVs
  • Open and check-in all mail types


Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional office experience, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in an administrative role, dealership, or vehicle titling is preferred
  • Strongly detail-oriented and organized
  • Intermediate experience with Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Notary Designation is highly preferred, but not required
