Work you'll do

Deloitte is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with Cloud Expertise to support a new Zero Trust Project. This individual will help the team implement Zero Trust maturity recommendations across the portfolio of application development and data analytics projects.
  • The team member will develop a plan and complete all data architecture and cloud engineering tasks to harden the client's architecture environments (microservices and data layer) specifically related to current and future data stores and data catalog in the Top-Secret Data Hub (TSDH) and implement Zero Trust measures that deliver the desired outcomes for each of the seven pillars.
  • Support clients with data protection, IoT, and overarching cloud capabilities.
  • Implement core and cloud infrastructure security to manage risks and exposure.
  • Perform cyber reconnaissance to illuminate a potential attack surface area.
  • Provide threat and vulnerability management to federal clients and teams.
  • Analyze tactical network architectures and topologies to assess security risks.
  • Candidate required to support at client site location (DC).

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Active TS w/ SCI eligibility required
  • 4+ years of cloud engineering expertise in AWS and multi-cloud environments including the following:
    • Experience with engineering data management
    • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and utilizing software asset management
  • Candidate must be located in the Washington DC Metro Area and willing to work on site
  • Travel up to 75%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
  • 1+ year of Zero Trust architecture experience highly preferred
  • 1+ year of prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • 1+ year of previous Security Operations Center experience
  • 1+ year of experience in mobile and endpoint security
  • Completed certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
