Your role

We're looking for a Trade Finance Standby Letter of Credit Specialist to join our team. You will:

• assist in managing the Letter of Credit Portfolio for the Investment Bank, Financial Services, & Bank USA by processing Issuances, Amendments, auto extension etc. and any other work related duties to ensure that the team's work is completed in a timely manner.
• coordinate with our internal clients (i.e. Client and Financial Advisors) to gather required documentation in order to draft, issue and amend Letters of Credit. Ensure transactional due diligence is performed and any issues are escalated
• monitor daily reports to ensure all accounts are properly updated regularly and accurately which reflects the current status of pending and completed work
• work with team members to orchestrate the timely exchange of information to ensure client needs are met
• partner with internal business units in order to provide and obtain information critical to the unit's success
• review and analyze timelines on cases that are outside time standard and suggest workflow improvements
• maintain a high degree of interaction with Risk Management, Legal, Compliance and all other levels of the organization to resolve any documentation, credit, regulatory or operational issues
• ensure adherence to OFAC, AML, and other U.S. Federal regulatory compliance regulations

The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team

You'll be working in the Trade Finance team in New York City responsible for the front to back processing of Standby Letters of Credit for the Americas. The team currently supports the Investment bank, Financial Services, & Bank USA.

Your expertise

• 1-2 years of relevant experience ideally with Standby Letters of Credit
• knowledge of the ISP98 and UCP600
• excellent communication and client service skills
• strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• ability to drive change initiatives and work independently on projects
• handle Audit and Regulatory reviews and respond effectively to all inquiries
• proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
