Trainee - Bus Driver/Utility Worker

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; Three years' experience driving a motor vehicle; and Safe driving recordLICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: DMV 10 year driving history (formerly known as H-6 report) or K-4 printout dated within 30 days of the application demonstrating a clean driving record; Possess a valid and appropriate Class A, B or C California Motor Vehicle Operator's License; Pass DOT Drug and Alcohol Pre-Employment screening and participate in the Federal Drug Program Must be able to attend class everyday for the entire course; Be eligible to obtain obtain the following within the first three (3) months of employment: Valid Class A or B Motor Vehicle Operator's license with passenger transportation, "S", and air brake endorsements; Valid California Special Driver's Certificate; Valid Medical Certificate (formerly known as a DL-51); and a Valid First Aid certificateDOCUMENTS & MATERIALS REQUIRED

Work Schedule: 7.0 hours per day, 5.0 days per week, 9.5 months per year Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis at a rate of one day per month. A District insurance policy for hospitalization, major medical, dental, vision, and life is offered. School employees must join the State School Employees Retirement System.
