OverviewADM is seeking a Training Consultant Level I to support our government client located in Washington, DC. The Training Consultant participates in the analysis of training needs, generation of ideas, and development and implementation of instructor-led training, manuals, simulations, user guides, job aids, FAQ documents, Webcast, Webinars and other web-based tools. This role is responsible for developing all training/course content for their assigned portfolio. The trainer must have a consultative skill set and collaborative working style. The work requires the individual to be highly adaptable to change, work within tight timelines, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups.Responsibilities
- Responsible for a training portfolio of applications and provide training and organizational change management support for those applications.
- Conducts training need analysis for each application, including functions, audience, roles and skills, training infrastructure and timing.
- Works with application SMEs, Training Lead, developers and leadership to identify training needs.
- Designs, develops, and delivers a variety of training materials as needed, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), web-based training, user guides and job aids.
- Conducts pre and post course needs/gap analysis; develop measures success of training materials; evaluate collateral and delivery methods.
- Analyzes assessment and evaluation results to recommend design/development improvements.
- Documents process workflows.
- Gathers existing training curriculum and information to develop and assess the current/future training program.
- Customer base is world-wide. There may be instances where training remotely would result in working overnight hours.
- Customer base is world-wide. There may be instances where the delivery of training will result in working overnight hours or traveling to posts to provide training at times or locations appropriate for the end users.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Good problem solver/troubleshooter.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment independently while meeting external and internal timelines.
- Must be able to take direction and correction in a mature, professional manner.
- Background that facilitates understanding of human resources information systems.
- 3-5 years professional training curriculum development experience (Required) to include role-based training, business process reengineering, requirements gathering, content capture and development, and training audit and evaluation methods.
- Expertise using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Captivate, MS Teams, SharePoint, and/or other training development tool.
- Active Secret Clearance.
