The Training Coordinator assumes primary responsibility and oversight for the training program for the BioBank. This position provides curriculum creation, on-the-job training, and personnel tracking of training for BioBank staff. The expectation of the position infers one as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Operation functions.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for the training program in the BioBanks, which includes but is not limited to:

Implementation of policies and procedures via documentation software.

Hands-on training of personnel.

Tracking individual training to align with company needs and personal development.

Ensures training is performed in a timely manner and documented according to SOP requirements. Create actionable strategies that ensure the smooth and timely start-up, integration, and quality execution of training projects. Propose recommendations and solutions that increase the likelihood of consistent operational success. Develop appropriate best practices resulting in standardized and streamlined global processes and efficient use of resources. Ability to perform investigations within CAPA system requirements. Ability to execute on CAPAs.

What You Will Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, detail orientation, and

professionalism
  • Experience with on the job and/or classroom training
  • Life Sciences experience preferred
  • GMP/GTP/CLIA experience preferred
  • Ability to read/understand/interpret basic correspondence, instructions, rules, procedures in English

Language
  • Ability to make decisions and judgements based on reasoning
  • Good working relations and communications with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to perform tasks with care, is thorough and checks work for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, performing basic and intermediate functions

Physical Requirements
  • Reaching, lifting, bending
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing or sitting
  • Right- and left-hand finger dexterity
  • Ability to discern colors or use of color correction glasses
  • Ability to work with refrigerants (e.g., dry ice and LNs) using proper PPE


Your Working Conditions:
  • Employee will be working in an area with potentially infectious materials.
  • Employee will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and enforce and follow Universal Precautions for bloodborne pathogens when working in an area considered to be potentially contaminated.
  • Ability and willingness to work with LN2, if needed.
  • 20% travel may be required.
