Tesla is looking for an individual experienced with training personnel on manufacturing best practices to contribute to the Factory Training team at Gigafactory Texas. As a Technical Training Instructor, you will build a world-class manufacturing training program from the ground up. You will leverage your experience in production operations, adult learning principles, and process optimization to support operational excellence. You must have outstanding communication, presentation, and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive, motivational, and professional appearance. The Technical Training Instructor will take responsibility for developing training campaigns to optimize productivity and promote employee retention through continuous development. Instructors will provide support to students and fellow staff members, work in a lab setting providing hands-on instruction with safety in mind, keep accurate records of student achievement, and have an ability to maintain discipline in a classroom setting. In this role you will work with Safety, Quality, Human Resources, and Production departments to set the standard for excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop basic and advanced technical content on a wide variety of material for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and control systems
  • Deliver technical training courses in classroom and field settings using various presentation formats including Instructor Led, Facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments
  • Provide comprehensive tracking of each Student's completed and required training in Tesla specific Learning Management software systems
  • Provide on-shift training support for production associates and production line leadership, as required.
  • Support the Company's mission, vision, values, and goals in performance of daily activities
