GP Strategies has an opening for a Training Program Manager/Project Coordinator. This is a full-time, benefitted position and it's a 100% remote position (with occasional travel to New Jersey to meet with the client).

Summary:

The Training Program Manager/Project Coordinator is responsible for project managing our client's learning solutions, through the learning value stream. The role will apply a consistent project management rigor to every new/updated course that is initiated by our client to ensure successful new course launches and through to first delivery.

The role will partner directly with GP global, in-country teams, centers of excellence (COE) and client stakeholders, to maintain overall project governance, serving as the single point of contact for deployment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Engage with Senior-level stakeholders including Heads of Learning and Learning Managers to understand the learning needs of the organization and how this supports the aims, objectives, values, and culture of the business.
  • Tracking progress against project milestones and holding others accountable for assigned tasks
  • Scheduling program meetings while also tracking and following-up with action items
  • Coordinating all aspects of each program including booking rooms & catering, AV, coordinating with presenters & vendors, pre-event training/communications/resources and assisting with travel
  • Ensuring communications and program materials are distributed in a timely manner
  • Providing reporting on active programs not limited to registrations, attendance, feedback, completions
  • Building relationships with business stakeholders to understand relevant business issues.
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Resolves resourcing constraints or conflicts
  • Escalates visibility to issues; offers solutions and drives issues to resolution
  • Oversees budget and project spend
  • Maintains routine communications (written and verbal) with senior management and the client concerning all aspects of the project
  • Develops, publishes, and manages a regional Deployment Project Plan. Provides timely status reporting on project plan progress and risks
  • Works with Regional and local Delivery stakeholders to agree Deployment project teams and key stakeholders plans
  • Proactively reports and highlights any risks and issues to the project plan or deliverables with relevant mitigation actions as required
  • Works with Regional Centers of Excellence to identify, communicate, and maintain Faculty needs, Train-the-Trainer events, reporting templates, communication plans and facilitate initial class scheduling in a timely manner
  • Conducts Post Project Implementation Reviews as required
  • Coordinates the project input from subject matter experts, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure adequate staffing is available to meet the customer needs
  • Monitors project deliverables to ensure that quality is maintained and that deliverables are on time on/under budget and meet customer expectations.
  • Provides estimates for support activities and strive to identify additional business development opportunities with the client

Requirements:
  • Experience as a program manager, project manager, training coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in the training/learning industry
  • Experience working in the financial industry a plus but not required
  • Ability to travel on occasion to New Jersey to meet with the client
  • Solid MS skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
