Job Description:
The person in this position, as part of the Quality Training Department, your primary focus will be onboarding new Associates, and helping them transition into their role. We foster an inclusive culture and welcome a diverse, talented workforce to join our company. As an Onboarding Training Specialist, you will be trusted to improve upon the current orientation program and establish a long-term succession plan. Along with onboarding new Associates, managing day-to-day training requests, and aiding with other training projects or initiatives with moderate to minimal oversight will be expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve current New Associate Orientation program that provides an overview of culture, values, and mission.
Market and communicate program to Managers/Supervisors, and related departments.
Develop employee training curricula and training procedures, work instructions, and course materials for initial and ongoing training in compliance with training standard.
Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions; collaborate with Training Coordinators to plan, manage rosters, and setting up training sessions.
Develop on-the-job training plans that allow new employees to observe and practice the strategies and techniques taught in pre-service and annual training.
Maintain records of training and attendance in the Learning Management System (LMS).
Develop and monitor training effectiveness measures.
Identify gaps in training effectiveness and adjust training plans and provide feedback to highlight program strengths and areas for improvement.
Develop long-term succession plan for the program that includes Training Coordinators.
As needed, support Managers/Supervisors with key steps to get their new hires to orientation.
Process day-to-day training requests and forms.
Generate on-demand reports from various sources (LMS, Tableau, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
3 years directly related experience in manufacturing, GxP training environment.
Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theories and methodologies.
Microsoft Excel ÂÂÅ proficient to expert.
Veeva (Learning Management System database) or similar ÂÂÅ proficient to expert.
Microsoft Word ÂÂÅ proficient
Microsoft SharePoint designÂÂÅ proficient to expert.
Microsoft PowerPoint ÂÂÅ proficient to expert.
SAP-GRC processes- Proficient to expert.
Articulate or other authoring programs- proficient to expert
Soft Skills:
The candidate will currently have the following soft skills that will ensure the professional integrity of the Training program:
Strong leadership and communication skills (written and verbal).
Sound decision making and organizational skills.
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
Familiarity with medical or manufacturing industry best practices and standard.
Prompt and reliable with training instructor appointments.
Professional approach to classroom Instruction.
