Position Summary / Job Description

The Transfer Pathways Department is seeking a part-time Program Assistant who will provide administrative support for the Director of Transfer Pathways by assisting with the coordination of scheduling on-campus and virtual transfer events, campus visits to four-year partner campuses for faculty, staff, and students, and other duties related to Transfer Pathways.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Aids in communication and marketing plans for incoming, current, and graduating students regarding transfer pathways, processes, and timelines.
  • Work independently on assigned projects and/or processes and with the planning and preparation of communications, events, records, reports, and documents.
  • Perform clerical tasks in support of the Director of Transfer Pathways.
  • Assist in maintaining the department's presence on the College's website.
  • Update and maintain transfer pathways promotional materials, brochures, flyers, and newsletters.
  • Maintains an organized digital database of all pertinent documents, including but not limited to dual admission and articulation agreements, institutional contacts, and related transfer resources.
  • Schedules appointments, and arranges and coordinates logistics for events and meetings.
  • Answers phone calls and give guidance to prospective/active students, families, staff, and faculty.
  • Assist in monitoring expense budgets if applicable.


Required / Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent, six months' experience working in a college environment, office, or customer service position. Familiar with technology such as emails, text messaging, phone systems and student information systems. Proficiency with various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe, Word, Excel.

Demonstrated ability to interact with a culturally diverse population and to effectively and respectfully function and communicate within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.

Fluency in Spanish preferred.
