Translational Pathology Shared Resource Manager

The Senior Research Investigator (SRI) will hold a high-level leadership position in the Translational Pathology Shared Resource laboratory. This role entails acting as the principal overseer of all core service activities fundamental to research support, catering to a wide spectrum of investigators within an academic setting. The SRI will interface and consult with investigators, facilitating the execution of key projects, promoting the services, and educating clients. Additionally, the SRI will manage laboratory personnel, assign tasks based on job complexity and experience, set priorities, modify and enhance existing standard operating procedures (SOPs), establish new SOPs, and oversee day-to-day operations. The SRI will also manage requests, web pages, and billing via the iLAB portal.

Qualifications

Education:

Master's degree or PhD in biology or related field

AND

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of histology laboratory experience required

Kowledge of microtomy, cryosectioning, histochemical and immunohistochemical staining, microscopy

Histotechnologist certificate preferred (e.g. American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP))
