Transmission Line Engineer

Insight Global has a client looking for a Transmission Line Engineer in the Lutz, Florida area. Happy Friday!

The Engineer will be responsible for taking the LiDar data in a massive file and translate to PLSCADD. They have to be accurate with numbers and working in the program. They will be doing analysis on strengths and forces on the pole. This is a heavy data intensive role and a large part of the day to day is sitting in front of a desk working on the computer. There will also be team meetings and client meetings.

The Engineer will provide Transmission Line engineering/technical support to a Transmission engineering and design team for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality engineering and design services. Provide technical competency and direction on complex engineering and technical problems for the projects. This role includes both direct billable client work (project work) and project management support for projects. The Engineer is expected to perform discipline work for projects, perform responsible charge engineering duties, and manage project schedules and budgets. The incumbent will also support proposal development, project cost estimating as well as supporting business development efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors in Engineering (ABET accredited degree program)
2+ years experience working specifically in transmission (69kV and up)
PLSCADD experience is required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PLSTowers experience
Reviewing survey data or LiDar experience
Foundation anaylsis experience
