Based in our Cary, NC office, you'll have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale transportation infrastructure projects and utilize your civil engineering expertise to serve as a task lead projects. You'll work with the best engineers, planners, and project managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. Such projects include, but are not limited to, project planning, permitting, design, cost estimating, project scheduling, and design coordination. The Transportation Professional will utilize their technical knowledge as part of a team developing innovative solutions to serve our clients. When you join us, you'll be responsible for:
• Conceptualize the civil design approach for transportation projects or have overall responsibility for the civil engineering work on an aforementioned type project of a larger scope
• Work within an internal and external project schedule
• Plan and conduct work requiring evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/ modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Resolve complex planning and engineering problems
• Build opportunities with our clients and subconsultant partners.
• Resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting stakeholder interests, utility conflicts, schedule constraints, and funding needs) on multi-faceted projects
• Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates
• Participate in contract bidding and administration

• At least 4 years demonstrated civil experience on various types of transportation projects, to include design and plan development projects
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil and/or transportation focus preferred)
• Excellent written skills including technical reporting and strong communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with CADD/Design Software and a variety of transportation engineering analysis and design software
• A valid driver's license

Ideally, you'll also have:
• Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred with the goal of working toward a Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Previous demonstrated project experience with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
