Olympia Convalescent Hospital is located in Korea Town. We are looking for a Treatment Nurse to join our team.

Pay Scale $35-39 with a $1500 sign on bonus!

Essential Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse:
  • Ability to perform wound assessment, reassessment, and management for all patients and per policy.
  • Coordinate treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of staging system of wounds.
  • Develops skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage patients with draining wounds, fistulae and/or tubes; wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence.
  • Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services with nursing scope of practice.
  • Responsible for skin-breakdown prevention (in conjunction with the dietary/nutrition team).
  • Acts as the resource person for physicians and clinical staff for wound management.
  • Excellent documentation on wound treatments and progress.
  • Fulfill other nursing duties as required.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications.
  • Certification and prior experience in wound care.
