Job Description:

This position will perform a variety of truck driving and material handling duties within a warehouse environment with material control under limited supervision. Provides physical movement of material from stores to production, loads and unload trucks, and documents movements. Responsible for driving multiple types of trucks and forklifts. This position is also responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Driving load delivery vehicles
  • Operate Classes I, III, V and VII forklifts
  • Records information regarding materials received and shipped in the department computer system.
  • Participates in inventory cycle counting process, enters and tracks data in spreadsheets and the company MRP system.
  • Material pick up and delivery in accordance with AR Guidelines
  • Loading / unloading delivery vehicle
  • Maintaining accuracy paperwork and record keeping.
  • Operate material moving equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack, etc...)


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant Truck Driver/Material Handler experience
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related Truck Driver/Material Handler experience.
  • Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
  • Minimum of 3 years' of experience in truck driving and material handling.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Operate Classes I, III, V and VII forklifts
  • Drive, maneuver, and park Class A tractor/trailers and box trucks as well as other assigned vehicles
  • 49 CFR, State/local laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and identifying issues
  • Safely refueling all types of vehicles
  • Incident/accident reporting
  • Blocking/bracing, use of chocks , straps , ropes required to secure load prior to transit
  • Pre-trip, In-trip, and Post trip vehicle and cargo inspections
