TS Cleared Sr. Network Systems Engineer (Fort Meade + Travel)

Insight Global is looking to add a TS / SCI cleared Network Engineer to join a federal client's team in Ft. Meade, MD. This individual will be responsible for providing sustainment support to a mission critical IP email and chat transport system. They will be supporting and maintaining a complex Cisco enterprise IP data transport and communications structure. They will troubleshoot & configure Cisco routing and switching devices, support firewall infrastructure, and troubleshoot to resolve technical problems related to remote site connectivity and encryption problems. This individual will be the senior engineer for tier escalation support and vendor engagement. An ideal candidate must be articulate and able to grasp networking and engineering concepts in order to brief Senior Leadership and/or foreign dignitaries in addition to look at Network topologies, schemas and speak to an informed SME while giving recommendations from an engineering perspective. This role is M-F standard working hours with travel. Travel will be to overseas sites perhaps 5 to 6 times out of the year (approximately 7 days per deployment).

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of Professional Networking Experience
Experience maintaining or implementing network infrastructure design
Strong Cisco experience (configurations + routing + switching)
TS cleared, SCI eligible
Certification requirement: Security+ or CCNP
Valid passport + comfortable with overseas travel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Network / Security Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP
Secure Video Devices.
Call Manager experience.
Have Encryption Device experience (KG 175Flex, Nanos,TACLANES, KG 250X and Secure Phone Experience (vIPer/STE).
