Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Development Engineer with expertise in Angular and Microsoft Power Automate to support our dynamic team at the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) - Department of Defense (DoD). In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces that support Congressional, Search, and Data Science initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the mission-critical needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop user interfaces using Angular 16+ best practices.
• Design and implement reusable components and modules to enhance user experience and streamline development.
• Utilize Microsoft Power Automate to automate workflows and integrate various data sources and applications.
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across different devices and platforms.
• Collaborate with the Congressional, Search, and Data Science teams to develop interfaces that support legislative research, data visualization, and advanced search functionalities.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers, and contributing to architectural and design discussions.
• Stay updated on Angular, Power Automate, and related technologies to continually enhance skill sets.
• Follow agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on Angular.
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate for workflow automation and integration.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues across multiple layers of an application.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in Angular, Power Automate, or related technologies.
• Experience in a government or defense environment, with an understanding of Congressional processes or data science applications.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
