Our Radiology department is looking for top skilled Sonographer? Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery, 6020 W. Parker Road, Plano Texas 75093

Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours; 7:00am - 5:30pm; Option to work 5 days a week or 4 days a week

What You Will Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required

• Graduate of an MA approved/accredited Ultraound Program preferred

• Associate's Degree Technology preferred

• 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital radiology unit preferred

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography and one additional modality upon hire required and

• ARDMS - American Registery for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (must have two certifications) upon hire preferred

• Other RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if performing vascular sonography upon hire required

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam.

• Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.

• Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

• Produces quality Echocardiogram, Stress Echocardiogram, Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and/or Vascular studies following department policies and procedures, as well as IAC standards

• Employs relevant guidelines set forth by ASE and SDMS, including scope of practice. www.svunet.org, www.sdms.org, www.intersocietal.org/echo.

• Recognizes normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology relevant to adult echocardiography. Adult echocardiography includes, but not limited to, transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE), transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), stress echocardiogram (treadmill and pharmacological) and echocardiogram with echo enhancing agents.

• Recognizes normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology relevant to vascular ultrasound. Vascular ultrasound may include but not limited to, upper extremity arterial (UEA), upper extremity venous (UEV), lower extremity arterial (LEA), lower extremity venous (LEV), carotid (CAS), abdominal aortic (AA), ABI/segmental pressure, venous reflux, and vein mapping. Work in tandem with staff to ensure laser images are placed on CD from modalityor, PACSare printed, or Ambra as needed.
