  • Position Summary
    • The schedule is primarily Monday throughThursday. The main focus for this position is on Head/Neck imaging (thyroid) with many ultrasound guided biopsies and other in-office procedures.
      A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a professional qualified by academic experience, clinical training, and credentialing. This individual provides diagnostic services using ultrasound. The scope of practice includes procedures and processes, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and has demonstrated competency.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Post high school education consistent with requirements set forth by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) to gain eligibility for Registry Examinations.
    • License/Certifications: OB/Gyn credentialed by the ARDMS. If eligible, but not registered at time of employment, registration to be achieved within one year of hire date. Nuchal translucency certified. If not certified at time of employment, certification to be achieved within one year of hire date. Continuing medical education credits as required to maintain registry status through the ARDMS. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certified. Perinatal Quality Foundation (PQF) CLEAR trained. If not trained/certified at time of employment, training/certification to be achieved within one year of hire date. Trophon certification. If not certified at time of employment, certification to be achieved within one year of hire date. Fetal Echocardiography credentialed by the ARDMS. If eligible, but not registered at time of employment, registration to be achieved within three years of hire date. Maintains active registry status by adhering to the Compliance Policies and continuing medical education requirements set forth by the ARDMS.
    • Experience: Successful completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program with an OB/GYN component that allows the student to sit for their ARDMS OB/GYN board exam.
