UMD Men's Hockey Operations Assistant - Casual

Starting Rate: $21.09

UMD Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Men's Hockey Operations Assistant. Temp/Casual Position - 14 hours or less per week

Position Overview:

The incumbent will assist the Director of Hockey Operations with meeting the operational needs of the men's hockey program. The incumbent must be flexible, reliable, and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent will have minimal travel.

Job responsibilities:

• Monitor and execute social media (UMD Hockey) on Facebook, Instagram, and other. Provide analytics.
• Assist with travel arrangements and confirmations.
• Manage inventory spreadsheets using Excel.
• Breakdown real-time game video.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
• Some knowledge of hockey operations is required.
• Available to travel on a minimal basis.

Preferred qualifications:

• Working Knowledge of coaching video software.
• Knowledge of University and NCAA policies and procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and late nights.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google.
