Education:
- Department: Psychiatric Nursing Unit
- Schedule: Part Time. Day shift. 8a-8p, holiday rotation, and weekend rotation.
- Hospital: Ascension Borgess Hospital
- Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Responsibilities
Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area.
- Greet patients and visitors, answer general inquiries, and schedule patients for appointments.
- Answer, screen, and route telephone calls. Perform general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Create various reports and documents.
- Communicate with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.
- Perform unit safety checks. Assist with meeting patient needs and escalate as appropriate.
- May enter and maintain timekeeping changes and staff schedules.
- May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
