Millwood's caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. Millwood Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited hospital with a solid reputation in the community and is part of one of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc.

Position Summary:
The Unit Coordinator is responsible for unit clerical duties and for supporting Nursing Services in implementing effective paper flow and record keeping systems; provides primary reception to the department. The Unit Coordinator is also responsible for facilitating patient matriculation in the program. May be asked to perform Mental Health Technician duties as needed.
Shift/Unit Summary:
8- hour shift
Primary schedule: Monday - Friday
Work hours: 12:00pm - 8:30pm or 1:00pm - 9:30pm
May be required to work rotating weekends
Patient Population: Children/Adolescents

Education: High School diploma, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care facility preferred with good knowledge of medical and technical terms and abbreviations is preferred.
License: Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to perform designated duties under the direction of the Charge Nurse; must be able to always ensure patient information confidentiality at all times; strong multitasking abilities and ability to schedule efficiently. Must have excellent organizational/time management skills. Must demonstrate high level of patient concern and excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work designated holidays as needed. Will be required to maintain CPR and CPI Training on annual basis.
