Overview
Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the operational, fiscal and personnel activities to ensure the provision of high quality, safe patient/family centered virtual care 24 hours a day within the Connected Care TeleICU and TeleED telehealth programs. Advocates for and allocates available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe and compassionate virtual nursing care. Collaborates with Dartmouth Health and outside hospital leadership in delivering high quality virtual care programs by effectively aligning care delivery with the use of technology across the health system and region.
Responsibilities
• Manages the hiring process to meet anticipated staffing needs. Plans adequate staffing and adjustments in alignment with patient volume and clinical needs.
• Evaluates and manages the performance of staff members, to include coaching and the performance management processes.
• Effectively manages the matrix relationships, including but not limited to providing input and feedback to the Connected Care clinical and programmatic stake holders to ensure clinical competency of staff, quality of patient/family centered care and professional development of clinical staff.
• Identifies opportunities for best practices and continued improvement and oversees implementation of such practices.
• Responsible for operationalizing best practices in team care coordination.
• Proactively accesses safety risks and promotes and models a culture of safety.8.
• Manages staff and processes to achieve outcomes and organizational goals in regard to clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience.9.
• Manages to operational budget for the unit. Monitors patient revenues and expenses and operational expenses and provides required reports to administration.
• Assures that applicable regulatory standards are met in the clinical area. Assures that evidenced based practice and nursing practice standards are achieved in the clinical area.
• Assumes accountability for maintaining a safe work environment in alignment with Dartmouth-Hitchcock's commitment to employee safety and regulatory requirements including but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)and applicable state and federal law.
• Supports and/or participates in clinical research programs in collaboration with the interprofessional team.15.
• Leads clinical work steams in new program implementations
• Develop, monitor and analyze clinical operations data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to drive better clinical outcomes
• Develop policy and procedures to ensure safe delivery of virtual care services across the programs
• Collaborates with outside hospital leadership in developing mission driven telehealth programs
• Actively participates in the evaluation and ongoing adoption and utilization of the multiple electronic health record instances used in the programs amongst the clinical team including the nursing and provider teams.
• Develops, maintains and deepens telehealth relationships across the health system and participating hospital site programs.
• Champion the adoption and utilization of telehealth strategies and technologies and as a subject matter expert
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility. - Basic Life Support (BLS) or higher per unit specific requirements.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Supervisory and/or management experience required.
- 5 years of progressive responsibility within an acute care setting required.
- Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies within assigned unit.
- Clinical or professional certification preferred.
Required Licensure/Certifications
