Northern Neck is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Unit Secretary / Central Supply (CNA) to join our caring team of professionals.

Unit Secretary / Central Supply (CNA) responsibilities include:
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Managing patient records
  • Coordinating with physicians and other staff members
  • Take incoming phone calls, faxing, emailing & coping
  • Greet & direct visitors
  • Replenish nursing supplies
  • Helps maintain sensitive patient information within the Center and is a vital part of the day-to-day operation of the nursing unit
  • Maintain and order all medical supplies and equipment for the facility from the appropriate vendors.
  • Unpack all supplies upon arrival and or delivery
  • Stock and distribute supplies to each nursing unit and other locations as needed
  • Ensure all purchase orders are properly, prepared, signed, and submitted as required in procurement policies and procedures
  • Ensure that supplies and equipment are properly maintained
  • Ensure inventory is updated and storage instructions are followed as required
  • Maintain supply and storage rooms are in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
  • Report equipment malfunctions to your supervisor as soon as possible
  • Manage Part B supplies and documentation
  • Maintain a documented, organized system that is readily accessible to others
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Unit Secretary / Central Supply (CNA) Qualifications:
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in VA, required
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Some healthcare experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive "can-do" attitude
  • Reliable, dependable...a real hard worker!
  • Ability to work well with a diverse population
  • Computer skills are a must
