Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Days 7am-3pm 5 days a week

Location: 13100 Fort King Rd, Dade City, FL 33525

The role you'll contribute:

The Health Unit Clerk (HUC) is responsible for welcoming guests to the unit. S/he is accountable for performing a variety of clerical tasks related to the updating and organizing of information on the nursing units and coordinating work within the unit as well as with other departments.

The HUC is responsible for acting as a role model for the mission, and patient promise of AdventHealth. S/he is accountable for working within the parameters of regulatory standards, established policies, protocols, and procedures.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Perform various clerical duties relating to the updating and organizing of information on the nursing unit as illustrated by the following;
o Complete consult and calls, inclusive of SOC in a timely fashion and as ordered by the provider
o Answer the telephone in a professional manner; direct calls to appropriate individuals, and relay messages
o Maintenance tasks relating to the medical record
§ Follow up on delayed lab and imaging results by informing the Clinical Coordinator
§ Communicate admission bed assignments to the staff RN

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

• High school graduate
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
