Job Description

The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine is hiring a primary care sports medicine physician as a faculty member in our sports medicine division. This hire will serve and support all missions in the department with clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities. The primary care sports medicine physician will increase patient access to our orthopaedic patient population. Strategically, the orthopaedic primary care sports medicine provider will travel to our ambulatory and outreach clinics in South Carolina.

The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine has 38 Faculty members serving the clinical, research, and education missions. The Department delivers the region’s most comprehensive range of musculoskeletal services, encompassing every orthopaedic subspecialty. We treat more than 35,000 patients each year with the most innovative technology and sophisticated procedures.

MUSC Minimum Requirements:

M.D. or equivalent

The preferred candidate will have a robust clinical background as well as a sincere interest in both education and research and possess education experience.
