Job Description Summary
Job Summary: The Program Coordinator will provide administrative and research support to the Principal Investigator and research team in the coordination of human subjective activities and population-based research. Under the direction of the principal investigator, the program coordinator will assist in project planning, development, administration, management of ongoing project. The program coordinator should have excellent organizational skills, the ability to coordinate and collaborate with a number of different stakeholders (study team members, professionals, and organizations), and a passion for research.

Job Description

Job Duties:

• Coordinate multiple research protocols and grants submissions. The coordinator will help with IRBs on the current project, helping prepare documents for grant submission, and coordinate with stakeholders and collaborators. (25%)

• Provide routine administrative assistance to the principal investigator and perform assigned and delegated tasks in support of research projects. The coordinator will coordinate day-to-day activities related to NIH-funded projects (e.g., travel coordination for project meetings, completing registrations, bookings, coordinating payments, helping with article submission and payments) (20%)

• Monitor ongoing activities on various research studies to ensure compliance with local, state & federal regulations. The coordinator will help monitor activities, including timely preparation and submission of IRB, progress reports, and work with study team in coordination of timely submission (20%)

• Schedule meetings and prepares agendas as required. The coordinator will help schedule meetings with study team members, prepare doodle polls, develop meeting agendas (10%)

• Maintain research subject files for clinical and population-based studies. The coordinator will help maintain and update all project-related documents, including protocols, progress reports, and also help coordinate with new recruitments relevant to the projects (10%)

• Create, complete, and track forms and reports for study sponsors. Working with the PI and grant administrative team, the coordinator will help with preparation of annual progress reports to the study sponsors (10%)

• Assists with monitoring budgets, spending, purchasing, and participant payments. The coordinator will help with routine purchases, monitoring efforts and budgets, and ensuring timely payments to the coordinating sites. (5%)

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree andtwo yearsrelevant program experience.

Qualification:

• Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology or related area and a minimum of one year of directly relevant experience and/or equivalent experience/training.

• Required: Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications)

• Required: Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Required: Ability to multi-tasking with demanding timeframes

• Required: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team

• Preferred: Additional experience in the coordination of human subject activities and implementation of clinical trials
